An honest note on grip

Cotton can slide on a polished floor. So every mat gets a latex grip.

The underside of every mat carries a thin layer of natural latex from the Hevea tree, brushed on by hand. It holds on tile, marble and wood without a synthetic backing. After years of washing the grip can soften — a fresh coat of natural latex brings it back.

Every colour comes from a plant you could name.

Our dyers work with the same garden Tamil weavers have used for generations. Shades shift slightly from batch to batch, as natural colour should.
